2ºESO - La Dehesa an urban ecosystem

The 21st of December we had a special class outdoors. Both classes of 2ºESO went to the park of La Dehesa, 5 minutes walking from the school, to do a scavengers hunt. The winner of both classes had a prize.
 
If you want to test your knowledge of this emblematic park of Soria, answer the following questions:

1.      START AND END POINT
2.     Write the name of the tree located at the corner of the park.
3.     Find a pine eaten by a squirrel and keep it till the end of the hunt.
4.     What brand of beer is advertised on the walls of the kiosk?
5.     With the guide provided, identify 3 different birds that you see. And write down their colours.
6.     What type of tree is the ¨Tree of Music”? and what type of illness killed it?
7.     How many arches does the hermitage contain? And what image can you see inside?
8.     Find the following trees and write down the scientific name for each one.  Along the botanical trail in the park, the names of the trees are provided in Spanish along with their scientific names.
·        Gingo
·        Linden
·        Beech
·        Maple
9.     Of whom is the bust (statue containing the shoulders and head of an individual)?
10. In what year was the fountain constructed?
11.   Inside the information point of the park. Why is this park called ¨La Dehesa”? and when was the name changed to ¨Alameda de Cervantes”?
12. Draw the layout of the rose garden
